The International Ad Issues Summit took place on the 28-29th of September 2017 in St. Petersburg. The Summit is organized by the International Advertising Association (IAA) with the support of the FAS of Russia and the St. Petersburg government. The Summit Organizing Committee is headed by Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg, Deputy head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) and World President of the International Advertising Association (IAA). The Summit took place in the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library where the global communication industry leaders formulated the most important current challenges of the industry and the ways to overcome them in direct dialogue. The main topics of the Summit were: Self-regulations, regulation and issues of ad restrictions, Social communications and social responsibility, Trends of media and investment in digital economy, Brand of territories and communication support for its development, the future of ad agencies and the latest insights into ad technology and creativity.
The motive was to create an efficient platform for the development of the strategy in the media industry, organization of constructive cooperation with the authorities, exchange of the experience and showcasing the world’s best practices. Apart from the main business program an educational and cultural programme organised for the delegates attended to the Summit. The Ad Summit brought together advertising professionals and industry leaders around the World. Atty. Ulya Duran represents Self-Regulatory Board of Turkey at the Summit with a presentation about “Self-regulation, Regulations and Ad Restrictions in Turkey”. The delegates discussed the impact of the macroeconomic factors on the future development of the communications industry, trends, perspectives and new strategies in the context of the situation that has evolved.
