EASA Members Met in Budapest

EASA (European Advertising Standards Alliance – http://www.easa-alliance.org) has a network of 41 organisations representing 27 advertising standards bodies (also called self-regulatory organisations) from Europe and 14 organisations representing the advertising ecosystem (the advertisers, agencies and the media).EASA works with itsmembers to promote responsible advertising by providing detailed guidance on how to go about advertising self-regulation for the benefit of consumers and businesses. EASA’s role is to set out high operational standards for advertising self-regulatory systems.

The Central and Eastern European Council (CEE Council) is a working group coordinated under EASA which brings together Self-Regulatory Organisations (SROs) from countries based in Central and Eastern Europe to exchange best practice and facilitate collaboration. The main objective is to consolidate advertising self-regulation in those countries that have no tradition in developing and fostering self-regulatory initiatives. The CEE Council also assists in the building and training of new self-regulatory organisations in this region.

This year, the annual meeting of EASA will be held in Budapest, on October 9th and 10th. The host country used this opportunity to bring together and to connect SROs from the CEE landscape with some of the largest advertisers in the region, where many international companies have their regional headquarters in Budapest. Among the confirmed participants P&G, L’Oréal, Ferrero, Danone, Coca-Cola, Reckitt Benckiser, MOL and OTB Bank can be counted.

The meeting will be on October 9th between 9:00-11:00 hours at ROOSEVELT BUSINESS CENTER (http://irodahaz.info/kiado-iroda/Roosevelt-Irodahaz/Budapest/354/).
